Top Tips by Tum — Kids' Activities
Koh Lanta is small and relaxed — and these four spots are my three sons' absolute favourites.
Four favourites, family-tested
Koh Lanta is not a theme-park island — and that is part of its charm. But if you are travelling with young children and they need something beyond the beach, these are the four activities I personally recommend. My three sons have put them through their paces, repeatedly.
All are within easy reach of Long Beach Chalets — most by a short taxi ride. Our reception team is happy to arrange transport or make bookings, especially for the ATV which requires a short ferry crossing to Koh Lanta Noi.
For more of my favourite spots around the island — restaurants, beaches, hidden coves — head to Tum's Hidden Gems. The Resort Guide has practical information for getting around.

Go-Kart Track
A new track right in town — just across the main road, about 100 m to the left. Suitable for ages 5 and up. Fast, affordable fun that needs no advance booking.
Hours: 10:00–18:00 · Price: 250–400 THB

About five minutes by taxi. It may look modest to adult eyes but to a small child it is Disneyland. My four-year-old son asks to go every weekend. Bring your own towels and a proper swimming suit.
Hours: 09:00–17:00 · Price: 200 THB adults · 150 THB children

The only activity here that needs a staff booking — it is on Koh Lanta Noi, reached by a short ferry crossing. The route winds through mangroves, past the beautiful Lang Sot beach, and includes a drift course on the sand. Brilliant. I recommend the Pro T2 (1-hour) package.
Hours: 09:00–17:00 · Price: from 1,800 THB · ask reception to book

A brilliant way for children to experience the jungle canopy. The team maintain the equipment carefully and look after younger guests well. Best for ages 6–7 and older.
Hours: 09:00–16:00 · Price: around 1,500 THB
